Area = pi x r^2

Since r = d/2, r = 11/2

Area = pi(11/2)^2 or 121/4 pi

Now, divide by 8, or multiply by 1/8, so each piece's area is 121/32 pi

You multiply 3.14 times 5.5 times 5.5 and divide by 8 (for 8 slices). Pi time the radius squared gives the area of a circle, then you divide by the pieces.

You can do the math.
