A couple of suggestions:
- Invest in quality -- it's better to have a few pairs of well-made shoes than many pairs of cheap ones;
- New shoes should be broken in before they're worn for long periods of time;
- Replacing the insoles with slightly cushioned ones makes them more comfortable;
- Make sure the shoe suits your foot -- if you've got a wide foot, then don't get shoes that are too narrow;
- Buy the size that fits, even if it means moving up a size -- too small shoes are killer!
- certain styles of shoe are more comfortable -- sling-backs or slides squeeze your feet less than pumps;
- don't wear really, really high heels -- the higher they are, the more weight is taken on by the ball of the foot.

Start by wearing shoes that actually fit your feet well then after that wearing heels for a long time just takes lots and lots of practice. I also recommend inserts for the heel and bottom of the shoe.

I hate to sound repetitive but the only way is to get used to it. The more you walk in them the easier it gets. Then you won't wear anything else because of how you feel in them. Make sure they aren't too tight and you don't want to start out too high. Start with a lower heel and work your way up. You can also buy some of those inner soles that you put in your shoes for comfort.

you can try what everyone else says or you can just plan on wearing them for special occassions or for half a day, I think walking in them for a long time is going to hurt your feet with or without any dr.scholls because you are putting all you weight and pressure on the bottom of you feet. so if you were planning on walking far I would just suggest some cute shoes that are comfortable.
