What is the insiminator for the sims 2? It is at modthesims2.com Does it have virus and does it crash the sims 2?

It's a game 'mod' that allows you to get your sims to do stuff that Maxis didn't program into the game - you will have to read more about the details at the download site. I used it for a while and found it amusing but for serious game play for me, I found I didn't need it. Insiminator has a lot of support by users and it is not a virus but if you do download other modifications, sometimes you will have conflicts because both mods are trying to change the same thing. When this happens, the game can crash.

The easy fix is to remove the mods you don't want any more. Also if you do get the insiminator, you need to keep your version up to date, for fixes and other advancements that develop. This will allow you to continue to use it with fewer glitches in your game.

Another great game tool is Sim PE. I use that nearly every week if I am playing the game. It allows me to fix things in the game to suit wacky things I try. :)
