A woman has 40 pregnancy weeks. The first 2 weeks she isn't really pregnant since the 40 weeks are calculated from the first day of her last period. Babies are usually born between 38-42 weeks gestation.

you start counting the pregnancy from your last period as week one , and a pregnancy can last between 36 and 42 weeks long .
i carried my first child for 42 weeks . i hope this helps !
you can be in labor for hours ...i was in labor for 13 hours with my first child .
