If you are asking if it CAN.... I suppose it's possible. Lots of things are possible.

But large babies do not necessarily come early just because a woman is very short.

I'm 5'3 my son was born at 36 weeks my daughter 37. In short women the womb has less room to get big could cramp the baby and cause a earlier labor. However my aunt is 4'9 has 3 kids EVERYONE full term and over 7 pounds.

NO. I am 5' and my boys were 8 and 9 lbs but your doctor may want to induce you since babies put on most of their weight in the last few weeks.

A co-worker of mine is 5 feet tall, and had a 10lb baby vaginally. She went to 39 weeks, so for her it didn't cause her to go into labor early.

No, anything unrelated can cause early labor. I'm only 5'4" and my first baby weighed 9lbs. 9oz at birth and I was two days late. My second one weighed 9lbs. and was right on time. Don't worry so much! Just be thankful for a healthy baby! :)

u know, in my opinion, u cant trust the ultrasound or doctor predictions of baby weight. they r somehow always off (usually overweight). also, more than wt. determines labor. the lungs need to be developed among other things. i think being short also has very little to do with it.

I don't think it's really related. If the woman is short and petite at the same time, she might need a caesarian though...
