why would you want a water proof teabag, since itwouldn't let the water in to steep thetea?

so uh, what's the purpose of a teabag if it's waterproof? Just out of curiousity. Isn't the water supposed to flow through the bag to make the tea? I could spray my **** with teflon, and they'd be waterproof if I teabagged somebody, but I don't want to spray my **** with Teflon.
