Me and my ex broke up about two years ago and he ended up going over seas and every time he came home he would try and get a hold of me but it wouldnt be until the day before he had to go back.. Anyways, I moved out of state about a year ago and lost complete contact with him and i moved back and got a hold of him about a week ago and we went out to dinner to catch up and thats when i found out he had tried looking me up when i got home but couldnt find me and i also found out he's been in a relationship for about a month now.. I guess what i want to know is why would he want to meet up if he had a girlfriend and his life is sooo good right now?...
Plus the whole time at dinner all he could do was talk about how much muscle he has and all the new things he was able to buy with his money.. why would he do that?..

Women spend so much time trying to figure out why men do and say the things they do and say.
Why did you go for dinner? What do you want? A one month old relationship is still in its infancy. If you want him back, bloody well ask him. Life is short!

His reasons are his own and should not be your primary concern. What is it that you want ? My opinion is that you let that part of your pass be just that...your pass. There does not seem to be much to gain there. I suspect that he was trying to show you what he believe is his success and possibly what he conceive to be what you missed out on. Either way, I suggest you move on and just allow only a casual friendship with him.

every situation is different,and anything is possible.your ex coming back in your life after a year and a half is not unusual.your problem now is ,he has a girlfriend.he probably hooked up with her because he couldn't find you.if you want to be with him again,he has to choose between you and her.if you don't want to be with him,be friendly but keep your distance.he is with somebody else now.try not to get caught up in a love triangle.good luck!!
