I know this is not a hospital or anything but I know there are some residents or nurses or something in that nature online. Anyway, I just got an ultrasound done because my ovaries has been hurting. Well I was told the cyst on my right ovary is 8cm. I have to make an appt tomorrow with OB-GYN, what would they do in most cases like mine?

i work in a dr's office and i have also had the same problem -more thank likely they will do a laproscopic surgery which they put u to sleep and blow up ur stomach with air and remove it through a little hole) and remove it-sound scary -but not really

8 isnt bad i had a 19 one. they really wont do much. i was diagnosed with pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome) about a year ago. many many many cysts. likely if it is causing you problems, from my expeirence in the past, they will put you on birth control. it will help disolve the cyst. lazer surgery is an option but sounds like a far off option so far. no worries though. obgyn will prolly give you an exam. maybe another ultrasound. not scary at all nothing to fear. good luck and take care.

I have had cyst on my ovaries and in some cases they will give u medication and it will go away. But I also know that in some cases they have to have surgery to remove them.

My wife just had this happen. They gave her some pills and it took a couple of months to clear up, but it worked in the end.

im not sure, but i think they might give you birth control. ive heard it helps within a few months.
