Is this what you expected or hoped for?

Will we ever hold our military leaders responsible for the handling of the war?

If they would have told you that it would take a minimum of 3 years to secure Baghdad would you have supported the war?

"If they would have told you that it would take a minimum of 3 years to secure Baghdad would you have supported the war?" You mean if it would have been over when Bush said it was standing in the Halloween costume on the aircraft carrier?

"How much longer are you willing to wait?" I'm guessing that by August 2008 there will be some major developments. After all, it *will be* election time . . .

We shall have to wait until the election of 2008 to settle this question by that time it will become evident to any and all that Iraq is a losing cause because it was invaded and if they had of invaded America we would be doing the same things that they are as far as fighting goes. We westerners have to learn that we are not the saviours of the world, that not everyone likes democracy nor wants it, we also have to learn from history and it is filled with thousands of years of turmoil between muslims and christians, basically because we have different beliefs, it is no wonder that the Iraq War is not going well for us, we still have not gotten Baghdad to the level as far as services for the innocents go such as water, electricity, schools, hospitals ect that were there when Saddam was in power. We still have not learned that in their society women are seen not heard so what do we do we make a woman secretary of state and they are supposed to listen to her, then there is a list of atrocities that happen in war that involve our soldiers and them that does not bode well for us either, they see us as the Great Satan of the world and we should just allow them the courtesy of letting them form a government based on what they can live with wether it be a democracy or a theocracy, most feel that we came not to free them but for the control of the oil, so I am sure now that the true facts are coming out as to what led to the war they have even less use for us, we should have pulled out when we discovered that the Prime minister of Iraq supported a proven terrorist organization and we helped put him where he is that should tell anyone with a brain just how successful we have been. It will take a lot longer than three years to secure Baghadad.

it is not a microwave dinner...

my wife's cousin was among the first to enter into Baghdad. he did two tours there. when they arrived the people were starving, there was no electicity, except in the govt. buildings and raw sewage was in the streets. he also had to clean up every time there was a suicide bomber in his area. that is a real nice type of threat to live under.

it is going to take a while to clean that mess up. it will never be cleaned until the people are strong enough to govern themselves. i know the democracy will take another form from ours, but it will be a step towards some of the freedoms that we enjoy, instead of being worried about being thrown in to one of Saddam's acidic swimming pools.

The Democrats went on checklist to declare they have been going to drag the troops and get out of Iraq. They campaigned on it. I think of they're going to wait 2 years to apply this project interior the 08 Presidential Election. in the event that they stretch it out, they are going to blame Bush and the Republicans. If it ends early, they are going to take credit for determining to purchase the troops out. You watch.

We have no choice now but to wait until it's settled. And experts have said the best case scenario is 10 years. Way to go there, Bush.

As long as it takes. I'd rather be fighting over there than over here.

How long would it take for you to convert to Islam with an Islamofascist holding a sword to your cowardly neck?

If Bush wants so badly to defeat the terrorist, then why does he say things like this?
