The only justifiable holy war, is in defense of the practice of ones religion. But a holy war to gain land, is a war of greed and/or nationalism, greed and nationalism are against all religions, except Zionist Judaism.

The god in which the holy way is fought over preaches of peace.. God wants peace, men make the war to defend their beliefs.. Its not god that makes us war, its those who cant see the side of commerce to better understand eachother and come to peaceful solutions... Religion is divine, in which everything is perfect, us being mortal can only defend our chosen religion with what ways we see fit..

Most religions evolve. People learn what peace means. You get Holy Wars when you have a religion that doesn't evolve.

"Holy war" is not found in any verse in the bible.
In history, the Holy War: The Year the Muslims Took Rome, happened in Rome, at St. Peter’s Basilica, the night of Christmas Day of the year 800.
I wish religions and every human soul would teach "respect". Respect thy neighbor, respect the laws, respect the elderly and also respect the young, respect religions, respect nationalities, etc., but most importantly respect yourself. Respect was the first word my daughters learned in kindergarten, today they are in college, but even to this day, their elementary school mascot board still shows the word, "RESPECT".

nicely, like each and every sturdy detective difficulty (and it really is as sturdy a difficulty AS i have considered) the first difficulty in monitoring down the reality is to envision your modern premises; "if gods religions all pontificate for peace". perhaps THIS ain't the whole premises to initiate on the shape for the reality. Do you imagine? also, the reality, regardless of it would want to be, won't be able to be devined by employing vacationing down the incorrect direction. And the most suitable pathway is easy to get incorrect and the earlier you're making a incorrect direction decision the further from the undeniable reality that direction will lead you. also, in the experience that your reality as suggested above IS the reality, putting out to end, WHY search for any farther. you've arrived. apparently the present difficulty of your inquiry is on the incorrect direction and each and every twist and turn of that direction on that search for is taking you farther and further from the "reality" of the count number. prefer to come across a quite some premise.

Not all religions preach peace. Christianity and Islam both teach that anyone who doesn't agree with their religion is destined for hell and should be converted, often by any means necessary. That is no way to foster peace.

Religions might preach peace, but that doesn't mean people learn peace

there is nothing holy about war, except the tragedy of all that wasted energy and lives lost...there's something "mystical" about how we actually think that war accomplishes anything at all!!!the corage and valour(that are holy) are rarely seen outside of war it's true;but a father who lives a long life and feeds and clothes his children, teaching them through their whole lives how to live and not "needlessly die"that long term resolve and committment is the true courage!!!don't die before you know what life is!!!don't die for others;live for your families!!!

Mixing up politics and religion is never productive. That's why the modern world so vehemently believes in secularism and separation of church and state.
