Mexico is owned by it's legal citizens and governed by a political system of elected officials. All action taken in the name of Mexico is directly a result of action taken by the aforementioned bodies and individuals.

The few super rich, some are drug lords, turned politicians.
They appoint some President that the people think they elected.
If he didn't do what the cartel wanted he wouldn't last very long.
They keep the average person in worst shape than a slave.
The drug cartel kills anyone who dares to resist.
The only ones who get justice or medical care are the rich.
No welfare, social security for old people who are reduced to begging in the streets. Along with the starving children.
Now that he mentioned it the church is wealthy and for the wealthy and has never spoken out about the abuse of the average person.

Mexico is its own country. despite American corporations residing there. I hope tha Mexico follows Venesuela's lead soon, and kicks them all out
