with the divorce rate being high and the statistics being at least one year behind, and a lot of new marriages either starting out with children already, and a lot of couples not being married yet having children, I couldn't really tell you the figure you want.

Well I'm married and I don't have any children. I don't overall know the exact statistics. We can't have children so we've pretty much accepted that fact. My have 4 nephews and 1 niece so whenever we wanted a kid we just borrowed one, took them out, spoiled them rotten, then gave them back. Now I'm helping my oldest nephew with his 4 year old daughter so I've never really missed not having kids.

I don’t think there is a statistic. Nobody collects these numbers.

In my opinion the number is rising. Why? It is simple –logic. The world is over-populated by a factor of about 5 to 1. Thus nature is acting to slow the growth. Nature acts in three ways:

1.Reduced fertility.
2.More homosexuals.
3.Declining parental instinct in straight people.

i don't know the numbers but i can tell u i don't, i chose not to because i just have no maternal instinct and the kids i did babysit when i was younger proved to me that i should not, even though i love my nieces and nephews id still rather hang them by there cloths on a hook then deal with them.
