If you think there is, you are wrong.
You either have to be literally dirt poor to recieve medicaid--and even then 'poor' single people w/o children do not apply.....
I KNOW. Because I was there. There is nothing for you when you get sick or have a disease in this country. nothing.
For people who think that Charity can pay thousands of dollars in hospital expenses and pick up the tab for hundreds of dollars worth of Rx per month you are WRONG.
Studies are limited, inaccessable, few and far between.
ONly now do some drug manufacturers offer drugs for those who can not afford their medication.
Believe me, this is a very recent thing...
I have been to the ER literally HUNDREDS Of times due to my illness. ALL uninsured and there was NO help for me though I and everyone else tried to find it.
You are alone and up poop creek without a paddle if you don't qualify for medicaid (MOST people, or else half of US wouldn't be uninsured) and you make too little to buy it

I have very good health insurance now.
I am one of the fortunate ones.
I was uninsured with a dibilitating disease for YEARS and was one of those who used the ER for treatment. -- not being on constant care from a docor and on presciptions could have killed me. But I couldn't afford it.
There is no help. The "working class" who feel privilaged to have health insurance should feel just that. I had no means to find or attain a job that provided healthcare, they don't make it easy. otherwise half of the nation accused of not "working" would have insurance.
