Windows is choosing media player as your default MP3 app. You can change this by opening My Computer
Goto tools
goto folder options
goto file type
goto mp3
and select the app you want associated with your MP3's

or you can right click on the MP3 and click on open with

Your WMP library does not contain the file itself anymore than a playlist contains the source file...just a shortcut to the source file. Somewhere on your computer are the source files. You must have not stipulated what the destination folder should be when you downloaded the files..so they have gone into a default folder somewhere. Put in a search for a particular mp3 file to find out where the target destination folder is where you have downloaded the source files to.
Start->->search/find->->files or folders...enter the name of the file ending with .mp3 & click search
Once you know where the source files are you can copy them across to your mp3 player from there.

What??

You click on an mp3 and it plays in Windows Media Player, right? What is it you WANT it to do?

What do you mean by "an accessible file"?

this is happening because you most only have windows media player program in your computer ?? if you sign up for another mp3 player sites eg (itunes) then itunes would become your main mp3 site and automatically open when you attach your mp3 player to your computer
