I have wondered the same thing. Guys don't matter so, ken is just a penis whenever Barbie wants it. Barbie has the gold so, her hair is her pride and joy and gets all the boys.

Barbie was made to be sold to little girls, and so if she had Ken's hair, they wouldn't be able to style it. And besides I always thought Ken was supposed to be the "perfect" boyfriend. So he would not need to mess with his hair. Some Ken's now have nylon hair.

cuz girls that buy barbie and ken dolls more likely want to play with barbie's hair rather than ken's. Even if it was nylon, what would consumers do with it? He's a boy and their hair is basically just there. (no offense to any men who do take extra special care)

Maybe it's because Barbir has long, straight hair and it's easy to just straight nylon hair. But to shape nylon like how Ken has would be more difficult...

Have you ever tried to cut Barbie's hair? When you cut it so short, it starts to look like she's stuck her finger in a light socket!!!! It goes all wild, sticks up, and looks unnatural. Ken's used to have real hair, but it looked like he was wearing a wig, or was some sort of a drag queen!!!

I think it's because women are meant to be beautiful, not men. So, not to take attention away from Barbie's prominent beauty Can has to put up with less bright looks :)

dude. seriously.
but i DID have this one ken, (he's wearing swim trunks) and he has REAL hair! well, real nylon hair. so idk, i guess....it's a question that will never be answered.
