I am taking in Organizational Behaviour as an elective in university and the teacher is assuming everyone knows how to write cases from highschool. I did not take very many business courses high school so I am hoping someone can post the format or a good website that will show me everything I must include.

Thanks

Can someone explain to me the format of how to write a good case study...

When I took Business in University (U of A), we were taught to do a 'SWOT' analysis:

S - strengths
W - weaknesses
O - opportunites
T - threats

Use these topics in relation to the case you are using, and it ought to get you a decent mark every time!!

Okay it's basically just like writing a research paper in High School but you have to have a real person to do the case study on. You back up what you say with the evidence of your case. Example: Mary C. came in with severe lower back pain.. I recommended we.... On her next visit her pain seemed to improve so we tried something a little different to see if that managed her pain better. We tried...... > I hope that helps.

I'm not an expert, but ours are always written as kind of a narrative, with subjective info coming first, and then the objective information. Then we sometimes follow with assessment, plan of care, and prognosis.

If your teacher didn't give you a specific format to use, I think an organized narrative would work fine. You may want to ask though.

Here's a couple of websites I just dug up, but I'm sure there are tons more online.
