Which movie is Sam Peckinpah's best?

In terms of best example of his work. I just saw a director's cut of "Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid" and it was such a spectacular movie.

I've heard various people say "The Wild Bunch" or "Straw Dogs" but I just thought I'd gather some more opinions.

I love all of his films. The Wild Bunch was his first great film; many critics and film fans consider it his best.

To me :"the wild bunch" is the best. It was a lot more gore and violent than the westerns of the time. Great story too.
