I'd say at least $7. Usually you go by the minimum wage in your area - but if you are certified and have experience you might be able to get away with charging a bit more. You can also gage the price by what the family can afford - for instance you might charge a single mom who is a waitress a bit less than you would charge a family where the parents are doctors/lawyers.

Certified? I didn't know you could do that....

Anyway, when i wasyour age I charged like 5 bucks an hour for 1-2 kids...If there were three or more it was 3 per kid per hour. but the families I helped out were lower middle class.

I dunno...I guess it also depends a lot on where you live and what kind of people you will be sitting for. If you watch kids that belong to a wealthy family, charge them more!!

Depends on the parent! If you are sitting for family then I'd say $5, but if you are sitting for a doctor and a lawyer, charge $15 an hour!

If the kid is a little godless bastard...like Chucky...charge 25 bucks per hour. If he sits there and drools..kind of like John Kerry...give the parents 3 bucks an hour.
