Can anyone think of some good contests to increase togetherness and group productivity in a retail store? Thanks!

In my store, this one girl used to make bingo contests. She'd set up the squares and every one would have some different combination of things that we'd have to sell...the person with the most squares filled at the end of the contest got a prize, like having the weekend off or something. We did it in January, when there's always a slump in sales because people don't feel motivatd, and it kind of perked us up and was really fun.

Have a contest for the employee who goes out of their way to help others. Set goals for sales as a team and reward the team for reaching their goals.

When i worked at hardees we use to have coupons. What we did was everyone started out with ten they where on good for a $1 off a thinkburger,We had our employees hand them out to friends relatives anyone. Then we had a set date and on that day we counted them and who ever one got something neat. we have given out radios, cd player, free meal for a 2 weeks while they where on break, just simple things. They really liked it and it brought in more people to hardees. The management team bought the items they all chiped in 5-10 dollars.
