If you really wanna make it look GOOD, I'm telling you, go to your local halloween shop and get this brush on skin like stuff, I forget the name of it, some spear gum and any sorta facial appliques.
a few years ago I was Rob Zombie, and I applied the skin stuff to my forehead and carved an X, looking 100% for real, painted fake blood in the wound. It was pretty happening...
