I wanted to get the new sidekick 3, I like that it plays music, and some of the extra features.... But, I didnt want to upgrade through T-mobile. I was hoping to buy a sidekick 3 online, and transfer my sim card, but I dont know if that will work. I think if I did upgrade through T-mobile I would at least get to keep the features and ringtones I've already paid for. (right?) I just dont want to have to renew my contract, or pay a lot for the sidekick from T-mobile, if I can buy one online for cheaper. Please help!

Yea..u can do that, but if you're not going to upgrade then the sidekick is not going to be cheaper than $300...o yea and Tmobile ain't going to give you s*** back, they aren't going to transfer your ringtones, app., etc. Everybody that got a sidekick 3 and had a sidekick 2, was expecting to get their stuff transfer but it didn't, tmobile trying to get that $CASH$. go to lthe links that i gave you and go to the forums, to get more info on the sidekicks. Best websites......for the sidekick3.

certain for sure you may, in basic terms make positive all of your contacts are transferred for your SIM first. you do not prefer to inform T-Mo something, they are going to recognize even as the identity# for the SK3 pops up contained in the gadget.

Yes, you should have no problems swapping out the SIM card.
