OK, first of all get a good wireless router, like a MIMO G router from Netgeer, then you need to get MIMO G access cards for your computers, PCI for the desktop, and PC Card buss type 3 for your laptops, after all is installed go by the directions that the Cd's give you and the manuals to setup the router with the computers. Also when you get a high speed service provider, make sure it is a cable connection, it is faster and much more reliable than the DSL satellite service. Hook the cable modem with the blue cable(cat 5 UTP) to the WAN port that is separate from the LAN ports. The directions will show you how. I hope everything is Windows XP, or Mac OSX or it might be tricky to get drivers working. Here are some links to help you:
On the sites, do searches for information about wireless networks. Linksys and Netgeer make the actually routers that you will need as well as the adapter cards for your computers. Hope this works!

Scrap the dial-up if you can. It's too slow for the Internet, let alone sharing the Internet connection.
Cable Internet in my opinion is the way to go, then ADSL.
So what you will have to have is a cable modem or adsl modem which plugs into your cable line or phone line. Then from this modem you either plug it straight into your computer (ethernet port) or into the WAN of a router. If you have multiple computers, then go through a router. The router should be set up with DHCP to give local IP addresses to all of your computers.

Yes, high speed comes in few forms: ADSL (phoneline) cable (cable TV) there are few don't get much market share, don't even need to comtemplate those.
A purchase of high-speed ISP service eclipses dial up in functionality; so you won't need dialup after complete high-speed setup.
I think you are mistaken, either ADSL or cable would give you a high-speed modem for renting and those hook up to phone or cable TV line; not a Ethernet outlet on the wall. I think you will have every hardware by the time you get high-speed service. You say you already bought the router.

If you already have internet, just get a router and some receivers for your computers if they don't have it.
It's easy hook the router with the modem from comcast, quest or whatever and you are ready to go.
Is easy and quick!
Bye.

first of all sharing Dial-up on a network is HIGHLEY not recommended and you will have a hard time doing it i would recommend getting DSL or Cable internet
second you dont need wall outlets for the ethernet port you hook the computers straight up to the router via a networking cable if you have wireless you need a wireless networking card for each computer or a usb network adapter for each computer.
