Geography wise, like the link below:
250 million years ago was just after the Permian-Triassic boundary extinction - the biggest extinction in history. There were very few species around as 95% had been wiped out in the extinction event. Most of the ocean was stagnant and there may have been something nasty in the atmosphere. You would have just seen the odd small animal or plant struggling on here and there. If you were lucky, you might have seen a few amphibians and archosaurs (ancestors of the dinosaurs).

U should watch some science fiction movies which give u the picture of the world, with all these dinosaurs and huge creatures and plants and volcanoes. And its OK for some earthquakes and meteors coming form the sky. Oh yes I forgot with little oxygen and red sky( instead of blue). But may be there was only a hot planet(earth) with out a life on it.

All the continents were still pretty much together.
Gowandaland was just starting its breaking up process. The dinosaurs were on their way up in the food chain, and we were one full revolution back on our way around the Milky Way Galaxy. In other words, it was one Galactic year earlier.
