Hi
It means that the applicant needs experience with the use of Digital Media equipment such as Audio / Video Editing Software, Computer, Sound, Video and related categories.
I had a job as a Media Studio Technician and it also stated this in the job posting. If you have a relatively good head for technical and digital resources then expect all or more of the above.

It is desirable that you are familiar with digital media devices, programs, usage of them, etc.
It is not a definite factor for hiring but is a plus ( a must).
