I live in rural Montana, and I have never had the spiders infest so bad. I dont mind a few, but there are probably hundreds. I do not want to call the Orkin guy, b/c i dont want to get rid of the "good bugs". I have heard of sticky traps, but are they effective outdoors??

You need to spray your home with HOME DEFENCE. You can buy it at Home Depot or Lowes spray it on the outside foundation and 12"away from the home then go inside and spray around all the outside walls then put the sticky traps inside. We have the same problem in Idaho it works.....

In regards to one of the above statements, all spiders are poisonous, very few are dangerous to humans though.

You should get an exterminator if the infestation is really bad. If you're worried about the good bugs, well, there won't be many left after the spiders are done with them. It's probably just a population fluctuation...it'll crash in the next year or two because of lack of resources, so if you can tolerate it for that long, a lot of them will disappear after that.

Obviously, I agree to one of the others, The minute I see a spider it's dead. The thought of any bug crawling in my house disgust me. So yeah I would call the Orkin man.

Sticky traps will catch everything that touches it. It may take some time, but if you don't want the spiders, catch them in a jars and let them go a few miles away.

Is it really necessary to eradicate them? They
aren't poisonous, despite the rumors. Winter should eliminate most of them.
