Apparently, not content to just destroy the American family, we gays have now moved on to attacking religion. (See the about ‘news’ article) These ‘social conservatives’ a.k.a. Christians have decide that we are now ‘threatening’ their so-called religion; no wait for it all, all religions. Honestly, how does any sane person take these people seriously?

This is not really new stuff.
As to how does any sane person take these people seriously... here ya go:
Why do you think folks who base their religious beliefs on a book of metaphors that they insist are absolute truths are sane?
They also base their entire lives on "faith".. which would have no value at all if a person of god could be logically proved or disproved. So they are not in any hurry to try to look for any truth that falls outside their dogma.
What are we learning from the knee-jerk reactionary Christian fundamentalists? There must be a lesson here somewhere, and once we learn it maybe we will be free of their constant attack upon us.

The trouble is, my friend, conservatives think they have the god given right to say what they like about anyone that doesn't agree with them. They don't really understand the concept of listening to opposing points of views or even entertaining the thought they might have flaws in their belief system. The best thing to do is to let them get on with it, as those sort of people will never change. It just gets a little frightening when they get into positions of power, as that's when the real damage gets done. However I always live with the thought is the Nazi's eventually sowed the seeds of their own self destruction as will the ultra conservative Christians.

Uh? I'm little speechless here, and feeling like a pawn in some freaky fanatical power play. I don't believe many Americans want to become the United States of Christian Extremists. If I didn't respect the ppl in Alaska and north BC, I'd say let 'em have that bit of the US to declare their own religious country. Certainly enough hot air rhetoric to keep them warm up near the artic!

Any sane person doesn't take them seriously. They're all completely blind and stupid (a bit like cows, only without the eyes). The Church has always been complaining that it's been under attack, for as long as anyone could remember. They're just a bunch of homophobic bastards. Ignore them.

Every so often our dear X-ian friends have to trot out the old "martyr' thing so that they can feel important for a while, get their little belief system blasted all over the media...like we don't know who they are...and like I really care.

This isn't new. According to Pat Robertson, "[Homosexuals] want to come into churches and disrupt church services and throw blood all around and try to give people AIDS and spit in the face of ministers."
Now I don't know about the rest of you, but this isn't high on my list of Sunday morning priorities. I honestly don't know who believes these idiots.
