I would love to find some objects for my game that are unique, not just Maxis-made re-colours and that sort of thing. Also, what are the best sites for FREE clothing, hair, objects etc.

My favorite download site besides the official one, is MTS2
It's all free, great skins, game modifications, even crazy stuff like a Mammoth shower for a Fred Flintstone and Wilma family. You can download horse and llama objects and custom furniture. Lots of celebrities to download and you can even request special things for your game. All you need is a membership. If you like the site, you can donate to support the servers.
