Good question this, has got the young, ang the not so young involved. :-) I was never one for buying too many records, used to tape them off of "pick of the pops" David Jacobs, Alan Freeman, remember those? ok, you don't lol! First record I had was bought for me by my sister "baby lets play house" - Elvis on a 78. And it's still a favourite......:-)

I can remember the first album for sure. Queen by eerr let me think? Oh yeh, Queen, 1973. I was 10 at the time and bed bound with my eyes bandaged after an accident. So all i could do was listen to radio and I heard 'seven seas of Rhye' and got mum to buy the album for me straight away. Think it shaped my musical tastes from then as I'm still a rock fan although I went off Queen when the crap 'Flash Gordon' came out!

Aww blast...now my street cred really has gone out the window!!!

It was Pinky and Perky...and the single was called "The Yellow Submarine!! About the same time I also bought another one...something about Mud...glorious Mud..and had a pic of a hippopotamus on it!!

Then I went for the really grown up stuff.....Paul Nicholas I think his name was..and he sang something about everyone going to Gran-ma's Party Tonight!!

Looking at my LP collection...it's a wonder I wasn't sectioned under the Mental Health Act!! I have a couple from The Kids from Fame (Oh my!!!)....Cliff Richard.....(Ughhh!!) Haircut 100...(forgot they ever existed!) Then I fell for Rick Astley (Never gonna give you up!!)....but since then I discovered rock!! Also have loads of LP's by The Doors (about 5!).

Alas...as a result of this abysmal music taste of mine...none will ever be worth any money....but hey....still got my mind...and the memories that go with it!!!

Bet you're sorry you asked now!! lol
