Yes for the first year or two you should use pads instead of tampons. Your period will last 3- 7 days. Change your pad every 3-4 hours so you don't leak and get blood on your pants. Ir really depends on how heavy your flow is.Keep a pair of pants in your locker just in case you leak and an extra pair of panties. Cold water gets out blood, try and rinse it out as soon as you can. You can put the pads in a small purse. If you decide to use tampons use a pantyliner to catch any spills, change it every 3-4 hours, you smallest absorbency you need, never leave it in to sleep, or leave it in more than 6 hours because you could get toxic shock syndrome. To get rid of cramps exercise is good and so is one or two midol or advil. Avoid salty foods that make you retain water and make you bloat worse. Good luck

hmm if u cant get a purse the kinds they make can be slim enough to fit in your pocket or hoodie. Put one in your closeable binder and get one out when you need it and put it in your pocket.

Yes, keep a pad on a all times. If you have a small bag that you could put pads in, that would be great! Look in your purse (if you have one) because most purses will have a small pocket on the inside for this very purpose. Don't worry, you'll get used to this quickly!

yes you should have the pad on the whole time while you're at school . . otherwise, you will mess up your clothes and everyone will know you're on your period . . . you should carry a small purse or handbag with you to your classes, so that way, when you have to go to the restroom to change, you can just take it with you and not have to make a special trip to your locker . ..

When you need to go to bathroom go to your locker and take little purse in which you will always have two pads. You should always have two pads in your locker because period often surprises. That way when you take little purse from your locker no one knows are in there lipstick and mascara or pad!

I have had the same question from my 12 year old daughter.....you have to wear on all the time, but you also need to change it periodically.....you can get the pads that are quiet, the ones that don't make a "crinkle" sound and keep them in your pocket or bookbag or locker....wherever....Good Luck

It all depends on how heavy it is. I would suggest bringing some to school. Bring a little purse thing and put it in there and leave it in your locker. Then when you go to the bathroom just take the little purse to the bathroom with you. Good luck
