Its about 3ft tall and I gave it plenty of water when I transplanted it, even rained one day. The leaves are starting to look a bit limp. Should I water it more or leave it alone? Anything else I should be doing for it?

All species of oak are fall transplant hazards... they can only be dug in the spting before they leaf out. Due to the small size of the tree you may have a shot. Just continue to water it regularly until the other oak trees in your area go domant. With this type of stress at this time of year you don't need to worry about over watering. The only fertilizer you should use is a transplant fertilizer. A liquid you can mix with the water is your best bet after the transplant is already done.

Keep watering and add some fertilizer around it. Where it was before it had a lot of tiny feeder roots that took up nourishment from the ground. If the transplanting took off those feeder roots the tree will not feed well until they grow back. Be patient.

Over-watering can cause it to wilt. The stress of moving can cause it to wilt. Push your index finger into the ground under the tree...if it comes out dry, then give a little water. If it comes out wet, then wait until the ground feels wet. Have some patience. Oak trees are pretty hardy.
