It goes by population.

Larger states have more, smaller ones have less.

It could range from 2 up to 40.

Google state representatives and you should get exact numbers.


If you meant in the senate, then you should have said senators. That is the correct term. There is two for every state.

as for the representatives that is sit by population. Some states only have one such as Wyoming. and then California has many. As for Senator, each state has two.

The representatives are determined by your state's population. If the population increase a new district is added.
