I totally agree with you---and the commies can say whatever but we say Christmas, Christmas trees, Christmas cookies, Christmas cards, Christmas cards etc, etc. all because of CHRIST. CHRIST, our Lord and savior and the reason we celebrate Christmas--xmas is not the same thing--it sounds ridiculous for those who wish to only say Happy HOLIDAYS!! whatever--all we can do is what Christ taught us to do pray for those who persecute us. He foretold of all of this in the Bible. Remain faithful my fellow brother or sister in Christ and an early very merry Christmas to you.

The "Christmas Tree" is a Pagan idol, and those who kneel before it are violating God's Law.
New Years Day: Not a Christian Holiday
President's Day: Not a Christian Holiday
MLK Day: A holiday honoring a Christian, but not a Christian Holiday
Good Friday: Not a National Holiday
Easter: Not a National Holiday
Memorial Day: Not a Christian Holiday
Independence Day: Not A Christian holiday
Labor Day: Not a Christian Holiday
Thanksgiving: Not a Christian Holiday -- is a national day of thanks and is nondenominational.
Christmas: Sort of a Christian Holiday.
So, do the math -- most National Holidays ARE NOT Christian.
Have a nice day, and no I didn't invent Kwanza and Kwanza is not a National Holiday.

A. how do you know it didn't use to bother people? I guess everyone was Christian in the U.S. in the 1950s? I didn't know that? And I guess no one had babies before marriage, no one was gay and there were no drugs? hahaha... you guys should really open up a history book at least once in a while... almost everything that's going on now, has been going on for a long, long time...
B. I still don't see anyone really changing anything that they are doing? I don't know what everyone is crying about... some people have complained about it, but it's America, you have a right to complain, that doesn't mean you have to change what you're doing though... unless tax dollars are going to it, it doesn't matter, but if tax dollars are, you will be paying for Ramadon soon too if you want to push that idea of paying for religious activities...
my question is, why do Christians want so much special treatment... if they are not treated 10 times better than every other religion they cry like children... it's time they read the Bible, and studied a little history and maybe they would realize how lucky and special America is... and see the inherent value in freedom of religion for them and everyone else...
a little respect goes a long ways... it's time to start showing a little respect for others... treat them the way you would want to be treated...

Since when is it only OK for Conservatives to celebrate Christmas. Christmas is a time for peace, love, and family. As for the kwanza thing...I'm very offended that you should say something like that Sir...and very surprised! Is there something you have against Kwanza? Sir...we have moved a long way from the 'good old days'...and its a positive change. No one is taking away your Christmas Sir...Its just that America is a country full of different ideas and cultures...and we must be respectful to each other Sir....no matter how hard it may be.

I want a big ol' Xmas tree, or perhaps a Holiday tree, but certainly not a Christmas tree...oh yeah, but I don't celebrate that day anyway, heh!
"United we stand" doesn't me we all have to be Christians, you've lost the point of what America is about.
And, by the way, I'm now done with reading your extensive amount of ignorance. I hope I was able to enlighten you a bit through the couple of answers I've given you. There's only so much time that I have to give to help those who believe so many lies. G'night, and G'bye....and I'll save you the effort of saying G'riddance as I know you will.

First of all, I was not aware that Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veterans' Day, Labor Day, M.L.K. Day, President's Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day were Christian.
Second of all, in the 'good ole days', blacks were slaves, women couldn't vote, lynching was acceptable, and U.S. citizens were placed in internment camps. The 'good ole days' were not so good for everyone.
Third, nobody is forced to celebrate any holiday that they do not wish to celebrate. Kwanzaa was invented about 40 years ago, and you do not have to observe it if you feel it holds no relevance for you. Similarly, Christmas was invented about 2000 years ago, and nobody is required to celebrate it, either. (Of course, early Christians chose a day that would coincide with a pagan festival, so as to avoid persecution - they did not admit that they were celebrating a new holiday that they just invented.)
What's been happening to this country over the last 200+ years is that it has become more diverse, and people have realized that not only does diversity bring strength, but that a nation is stronger when it gives more power to more people. The USA became stronger when it abolished slavery; stronger still when it gave the vote to women; and stronger when it passed civil rights legislation.
While the majority of people in this nation are Christian, our government is not a theocracy. People are free to practice their religions - this is guaranteed by the First Amendment. However, the government may not endorse any religion, as doing so would both discriminate against those who do not believe in that religion, and would open the door for religious leaders to impose their beliefs as law.
My guess is that liberals who are Christians will put up a Christmas tree.

Christmas was a holiday invented by the early priests to make up for the fact that the peasants were now going to miss out on the mid winter solstice celebrations. The Pagans celebrated this with an evergreen tree. So every december I put up my Solstice Tree and Christians copy me.

Good Idea!!!!!!!!
Yes, Christmas cards. This is coming early (really early) so that you can get ready to include an important address to your list.
Read on........
What a GREAT idea!
Fun with the ACLU......
Wanna have some fun this CHRISTMAS? Send the ACLU a CHRISTMAS CARD this year.
As they are working so very hard to get rid of the CHRISTMAS part of this holiday, we should all send them a nice, CHRISTIAN, card to brighten up their dark, sad, little world.
Make sure it says "Merry Christmas" on it
Here's the Address, just don't be rude or crude. (It's Not the Christian Way, you know!)
ACLU
125 Broad Street
18th Floor
New York, NY 10004
Two tons of Christmas cards would freeze their operations because they wouldn't know if any were regular mail containing contributions. So spend 39 cents and tell the ACLU to leave Christmas alone. Also tell them that there is no such thing as a "Holiday Tree". . . . It's a Christmas Tree even in the fields!!
And pass this on to your email lists. We really want to communicate with the ACLU! They really DESERVE us!!

There have been questions about what constitutes assimilation to the US. One thing is, we shut everything down for December 25th, and it's called Christmas Day, period. It is NOT called Holiday Day.
We realize not everyone views it as a religious holiday, but even non-Christians and atheists tend to buy their kids goodies for Christmas. It's part of our culture.
If you personally want to call it HOLIDAY DAY that is your business. But if your business wants my business, you better call it Christmas in your ads and on your windows.
If you don't want to participate in our traditional Christmas, feel free, but don't be making a fuss because we do it.
If this doesn't suit you, there are nations where you will be happier to live than here. we are indeed almost certainly the most Christian nation in the world. We live in peace with others, if they will, but we don't expect to be harassed about our own beliefs, and over 80% of US residents view themselves as Christian.
You don''t like it, you can go any direction on the compass and eventually find the border.

Well, I'm not gonna cut a beautiful tree down and then throw it in a landfill. I'm putting up the same tree I have for many years and each year I add a new one to do a certain theme for each room . I just love trees and have one rustic in my mudroom all year. I'm a tree hugger :)

Speaking as a godless heathen nonbeliever, I've celebrated christmas with my family since I was knee-high to a coffee table, but we never really made a religious observance out of it.
I think the morally self-righteous types out there try to milk political mileage out of their religious beliefs and ecumenical affiliations etc., thereby pretty much blowing the spirit of christmas completely, which is giving. Christmas is that time of year when you should be thinking about being generous to others, rather than what you can use as a moral club to beat someone over the head with for not conforming to your personal belief system. I don't think heathen-americans(can I get money for that?) get enough recognition for applying the 'raspberry' where it's frequently required in the religion debate. Jesus walked on the water, and I don't see you dressing up in a robe and sandals and getting nailed to a tree to bleed out and die to celebrate his birthday...so instead, maybe go for the spirit of giving and forgiveness...and don't be afraid of the big fat guy in the red suit, he works for Coca-Cola...
