AC-DC used to play in Flemington and Melbourne in 1973-4. They are the best because they are still around.They are the biggest selling music act in austraian rock history. Where are KIZZ, Judas Priest, etc now?

AC/DC is the best good time rock...good for Parties, just a good time....Led is awesome too, but on the more serious side. The Eagles are awesome in that they give more of an American/Road trip feel...All are good depending what taste you like...The Who are the fathers of Punk...The Stones were the first vintage.
But the Beatles will still be the best...They played everything from rockabilie, to pop, to hard rock, to progressive rock (Sgt. Pepper), to opera style rock (Ealanor Rigby etc...). They just never had the chance to progress into the 70's and try out a little dance beats (disco and further) due to them breaking up in 1969. But when they went solo, McCartney and Lennon did incorporate some disco beats into some of their tunes.

They are decent, but far from the best. There music is the kind of music I'll listen to when I'm feeling like jumping around or something, but there is much better music out there (none of this new crap though).

your totally forgetting about The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Evanescence is probably one of the crappiest bands EVER!!!!!!!!

ac/dc is pretty good right up there with led zepplin, jethrotull, eagles,greg allman so many more

they're certainly one of the best, but not the best. i'd say overall it's led zeppelin, but my fav. is the old van halen, just because i grew up listening to them.
