Everyone seems to think I'm really pretty, at least that is what they say to my face, but i cant get a date to save my life. even to the big formal dances. last year i asked this boy and he told me he would rather stay home and play pac-man...i did have one sorta serious relationship...more than a year ago...and i haven't even hung out with a guy since....please help me!

to the person who asked how old i was...im sixteen....and i never said i thought i was pretty...b/c i dont that is why its sorta surprizing to me that this whole thing is going on.

Well, if you don't believe you're attractive, then maybe you're putting out a vibe that says, "you really don't want to date me." Without knowing your personality, I would say just work on smiling, making eye contact, be happy, energetic, friendly, and interesting. I don't know if you're stressing over whether you have a boyfriend or dates; but try not to worry about it, and try not to force it. It might happen a lot easier that way.

First let me tell you what I tell my 2 daughters, "Men are pigs, I know, I'm a guy".
Second, don't be in a hurry. As the old saying goes, patients makes the heart grow fonder. You say that everyone tells you that you are pretty, and looks are important (unfortunately because our society does dwell a lot on ones looks), but as long as a person stays honest and kind, you will find that the right person will find you.
And don't forget, I'm sure your dads heart probably skips a beat when he hears another guys name. I know I jokingly tell my daughter I'm going to keep her locked up until she's 30 or meet her date at the door with a shotgun to make sure I get my point across.

sounds like the whole pretty thing has gone to your head...maybe your comming off as arrogant and you might not even know it. Don't force a date..that's cool that your confident enough though to ask the guy out first..you don't see that a lot so your pretty lucky to have that..but i don't know how social you are. Try having big get togethers with girl and guy friends and have fun and talk to people, i'm sure you'll meet someone.. By the way how old are you?

I know! I don't get it. Guys tell me I'm pretty all the time, but I haven't had a real boyfriend in over 3 years, and that wasn't even that serious...probably because i was in 6th or 7th grade. I've done everything to get their attention. I even was in the talent show last year...and won.... They all told me I was like the best singer... but nothing I do to get their attention seems to work. Guys are just weird like that. I wish I knew myself why they did that. It would probably explain alot.

Perhaps your personality....ummmm.....sucks. Beauty is more than what you see. True beauty is being a good person, with a good heart. I was, and still am, attractive and I can tell you from many many years of experience - being a nice person will get you lots more dates than how much makeup you have on! Everyone has their bad days, me included, but I try to be nice most of the time to the people that deserve it and to people I do not know. I learned not to judge others so quickly as you never really know what another persons life is like unless you lived it.

looks aren't everything , your attitude counts . maybe they think you're attitude sucks , a pretty face doesn't mean anything. Now if you have a good attitude then i really don't know what to tell you . If your attitude stinks then that answers your questions. Guy don't like rude girls , they rather be alone then be with someone with drame. hope that helps.

i think it's because boys feel akward asking a pretty girl out, and they may think you're better than them [as the case with my last boyfriend]. a lot of boys need you to show that you like them, so they're confident and they know to make the move.

Oh man, if ur so pretty wht is the matter with the guys. I wonder if they want u TO FLIRT MORE. At our skool if u even look cute they all over you. I have this one guy after me now. Maybe the guys dont think they like you too and when u flirt ist like man I know u dont like me. But yeah IdK. They r stupid not to date u. But oh well GOOD LUCK. GET OUT THERE AND FLIRT UR BUTT OFF.

everyone tells me im pretty but i dont think so.
I have the same problem cuz when guys seem 2 like me i get kinda snobbish or really flirty and both turn them off
