Do a search on "Lemonade Diet". That's a diet that promotes lemon & maple syrup as pretty much the only ingredients your body needs to live (the other two are sea salt and cayenne pepper). Make sure you use Grade B Maple Syrup.

genuine maple syrup, not the stuff log cabin or Mrs Butterworth puts out, contains trace amounts of many nutrients, because it is a natural product, and if not cooked too terribly long or over processed can be a good adjunct to a healthy diet. It is by no means the perfect food, and it is metabolized by the body in exactly the same manner as table sugar.
