It used to just cost 2 points but people were asking too many stupid questions so they made it cost 5 points thinking it would actually make a difference in the amount of stupid questions being asked.

Yeah it cracks me up that we get an "alert" when we ask a question. I think it's for the ones who take this very serious and don't have fun with it at all. Points are really neither here nor there for me personally. I admit, I like getting picked as best answer and I like to ask a silly question once in a while but this is mostly entertaining to a bored house-wife/stay home mom such as myself. This is about as exciting as it gets for me. Yeah, sad, I know....

It's so you can work to get back those points and help people, instead of just asking questions and not contributing. You should be thankful, as they used to take 10 points for asking a question.

Everybody wants everything for free! It's their website, It's their rules. If it was your website you could cry if you what too, cry if you want too, .... wait... you are crying! Wipe those silly little eyes cause it's not your party, you're just a guest, so sit back & enjoy, take another valium & swoosh it back with tequilla and go answer more questions.

when you choose a best answer to a question, they give you 3 points so in reality, you only lost 2.

occurs to all persons. i in my view get slightly annoyed. i think of that we ought to continually have the ultimate to delete our question if no person responded. and get our 5 factors back. yet unquestionably, once you ask a question, they subtract 5 factors. once you %. a good answer on your question (if human beings responded it that's), you get 3 factors back. subsequently, asking a question, in hassle-free terms costs 2 factors. in spite of this, I hate the reality that many times i are not getting solutions, and that i wasted 5 factors for no reason.

OK...calm down! This really all means nothing. There is nothing to do with thse points. They are not dollars or transferable to stuff or presents. It'll be OK....

Good point. I also hate that with the new format you don't get a point for a thumbs up response to your best answers.
