Schopenhauer says "When you die you are the same thing you were before birth." You can take that as you will.
I don't think that if there is a life after this one that it will be much different than this one. One of the great things about being alive is the mystery and excitement that keeps us going. In this life we seach for Truth and meaning, why wouldn't we do the same in the next life?
They Christian idea that after death all the mysteries will be made known to us is not appealing to me. I don't want to know everything because if I did would I still have the zeal to wake up in the morning? If you knew everything what would be the point of continuing? It's like the "mission" in this life "if you choose to accept" is to find all the Truth you can, it is like a driving force, a motivation. Now say you found the "easy button" and suddenly you knew every Truth there was, what would be your motivation for continuing after the only "mission" you had was fulfilled?
Now to answer the question: In this life, as you are searching for the Truth it isn't always easy. There are times you do feel like you are all alone, or like there is so much working against you that you want to break down and cry. However, these times don't last long, and often lead you to find a Truth, not to mention they make you stronger. Being lonely or crying every once in a while isn't a bad thing, so what would be the problem if you did experience these things in the next life?
Another thing about loneliness and crying is that they are human reactions that only happen to those who are alive and have feelings. Dead people in the grave yard don't cry. Christians teach that after death there will be endless peace, no sorrow, and no pain of any kind. This teaching sounds like after death you will go to heaven and be dead. If you have peace all the time then how do you know the value of it? If you are happy all the time then how do you know how great the happiness is? You need to have happiness and hurt in order to see the greatness that is held in both experiences. I enjoy being alive in this life and understand the importance of happiness and sorrow. They go hand in hand with each other and if you want one then the other need to be in ratio with the other. Just like order and choas, like being awake and sleeping, life and death. Why would you through out one because it wasn't all pleasant and in the process forsake the other? It may be bitter-sweet, but it is still sweet and should be viewed as such.

Revelation says clearly no tears or sadness there or in the new earth. We don't have to quess on that.
If anyone wants to read what a true prophet says about her experience in heaven while in a vision then read a book written by Ellen G. White. Her experiences are told as by someone who has been there and returned to earth. That is one of the great beauties of her books.
Start with Steps to Christ, then Desire of Ages, then The Great Controversy.
Go to the E. G. White Estate official web page to read these books.

that Q, raises a number of alternative thoughts. I mean thing's along the lines of, That is there, & you are here-That is then & this now.
Existance after death is in another dimension, if it exists at all & we have no tangible evidence to substantiate that line of thought.
The arguments for & against. Are wide reaching, both are individualistic possible.
However, when utilising Sane, Realistic & rational trains of thought. We delve into the fantacism of religion & the macabre, when considering such a question..
Both of which, the individual desides whart they want to believe.

Not in the way that we see it from this side. It won't be a bad thing. We'll all feel pretty good if we can let go I believe...as for tears...maybe tears of happiness or joy, and no, i'm not a x-tian.

No. Nothing like we have known here. There will be excitement and many new challenges, but not the pain, suffering or sorrow. All of that will vanish.

Nobody has ever died and lived to tell about it!
My guess? If you're confused your whole life here you'll be confused there.
If you're enlightened here you'll be really enlightened there, and everything in between!
