1.5 x 10^2 cm2

when you have a number greater than the allowable significant figures, you use scientific notation to show the number and then multiply it by 10 raised to a power. So to round 152.88 cm2 to two significant figures, you would take the 1.5 (2 or 3 is less than 5 so it stays rounded down) then you multiply it by 10 raised to the second power (10^2) because you moved the decimal two places to the left.

18.2 cm (3 sig digs) x 8.4 (2 sig digs) = 152.88 cm2

answer must be rounded to 2 sig digs, so you'll need scientific notation --> 1.5 x 10E2 cm2
