when i was taking gymnatics classes, it was just practice practice practice. I think you can hurt yourself if you push it too quick b/c you'll kill your muscles. Do a little each nite - the way my teacher taught us - go down as far as you can and hold it for a little, then do that a few more times - then next nite try and go further ... etc. It'll come quicker than you think. I miss those flexible days - lol Good luck! We had a girl in class jump on somebody to try and help them go down quicker and she pulled a muscle and was in big time pain! So, i don't suggest that route at all - just stretch it a lil' bit at a time! Good luck! :)

I was a gymnist so I could help. You need to stretch everyday, night and again. No bunching when your stretching. Smooth movement. Straddle and continue to go down keeping your head up and back straight. Believe it or not form is the key. Try that and let me know if it helps ok. Bye...

you can't learn fast. you will damage your muscles, they need to slowly be stretched through a series of exercises to do this. it will prob be very painful if you've never done it before.
