Tmobile To Go is good. There are different camera phones with different features. You should compare them all by price, reviews and features. You can look at some at tmobile.com or amazon.com. You can buy them at WalMart or over the internet. Do not use phone plans like VirginMobile, they rip you off.

Basicly I think cell phones for 11 year olds are a waste of time and money. I see no reason an 11 year old needs a phone with camera features .

If one is needed for emergencies then a track phone with free 911 .

Sorry, but I don' t understand why your 11-year-old would be where they would need a cell phone to reach you or be reached. They should be spending time with the family. If they are at a friend's house, you should have that phone number already.

cingular has a kid phone called the Firefly that has a mom and dad button so your child reaches you by pressing one button and it also allows parents to program whatever numbers they want the child to be allowed to call. In this day and age we live in, I don't blame you for wanting to be able to contact your child or have your child able to contact you in case of emergency. With all the child abductions that occur every year, giving your child a cell phone could save their lives. Just think if Carlie Brucia had a cell phone the day her abductor loured her away from that car wash (where the surveillance camera caught the abduction on tape). She could have been able to at least press "one" button on her kiddie cell phone to alert one of her parents and possibly been saved. So for those of you who feel that a child doesn't need a cell phone, think again. I know I'd want my children to be able to contact me if they were in trouble. Anyone who doesn't remember Carlie's story here's a link to an article about her. She was abducted in 2004 in Florida.

why does a 11 year old need a cell phone? There are no good cells for people who can't pay for it themselves.

Anyone under about 17 or 18 doesn't need one unless they are working......in which case it should be for emergencies only! My 16 yr old sister's bf bought her a pay-as-you-go TracFone but I don't see the point in it at all cause she isn't working & rarely goes out!

If you absolutely insist on one then that TracFone is good...a camera is NOT needed though!

Sorry, I don't think an 11 year old needs a cell phone of any kind. My 16 year old has been bugging me for years and it's not happening!

You can get a Prepaid Vigin Mobile Cell phone at Best buy or a prepaid Razr from Verizion Wireless.

Why a flip phone? Why a camera? You should give him a Tracfone first. When he/she shows she can handle that responsibly, move up to a fancier phone.

The first phone is very likely to get busted or lost or stolen. Keep it cheap.
