It appears to me that many, if not most, of the feminine names on here (and elsewhere) that proclaim themselves to be attractive, refer to themselves as girls, I suspect even many who are well above 18/21.

I realize that girl has a meaning, correct or not, that covers a wide age range, but why not have more names like, for example, "HotStuffWoman," or "DeliciousLady?"

If an adult and confident in your sexuality, why not point out the former?

Too many girls, not enough Women!

How do you feel?

Well, it might not matter. If it doesn't bother a person, ok. Though the thumbs down rating I'm getting over thumbs up or no ratings are kind of odd to me, considering my point was about confidently proclaiming what some, including some of you are.

I know of the playful meaning. I'm just stating my preference. To each their own, right?

I don't call myself boy, but, yes, I would suppose many men, if not most, do the same, call themselves boy.

It's about association, and that little oxford dictionary puts in more associations than I would have in the context presented. I didn't even think about maids and servants, and I don't see where they would automatically come into play.

31, eh? Well, not that I'm trying to hit on you, but I will say that I'm cool with a lady into her 40s, and I'm 26.

Most guys don't call themselves men, they are boi, boy or guy. I feel that girl is a term used in a playful sense where a woman/lady is used in a sexy demeanor. I don't see why it should matter, in the long run, every avatar looks like it's the same age; 16

It takes a lot of time before a woman will actually claim to be a woman. Do you know why that is? "Woman" signifies age.. "Girl" signifies youth. I can only speak for myself (31 yr old female) but I don't want anyone calling me a woman unless they plan on doing adult things while they are calling me that… otherwise… I'm just a girl :D

definition girl...female child, young unmarried woman, maid-servant, man's sweetheart . Surely this definition allows people of any sex to refer to the female sex as "girls" if they meet the above definition. On the other hand the definition of woman.....adult human female, female servant or attendant.

If I was female I sure would want to be a girl.!!

I understand what your saying, but remember a title, or name doesn't make the women!

If I'm feeling young, I'm a girl. If I'm feeling mature, I'm a woman. As long as I'm not a b**ch, I'm okay!
