You do not - in fact, you should not - submit your website to search engines. Find a friend's site that is already in the search engine and ask them to link to you. When the search engine spider comes by their site the next time, they'll follow that link and catalog your site. Voila - you're now in the search engine's database.

It's actually best to be 'found' in this way by Google rather than submitting. They factor that in their ranking of your site, giving an edge to sites they 'found' over ones that submitted.

BTW If your friend doesn't want to keep a link permanently to you, that's alright. Once you're in the search engine, they have your URL so they don't need the link anymore to find you. Your friend can take down the link once you're in the database.

This will work for all search engines.

I Am Guessing You Are Looking For A Free Search Engine Submission. www.addpro.com and www.submitexpress.com Are The Two Best Ones For Me. Make Sure That You Use An Email Address Just For That Because You Will Be Getting Spam Shortly After.

Search engines do regular crawls over the web. If your website is open to search engines to crawl your pages, it should be reflected in search results in abt 2 weeks.
You can submit your website manually to Yahoo by going to http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html
