Are southern dishes more popluar than the Northern dishes or vice versa?

Being a southern woman, I am partial to my own cooking. Can't beat crawfish ettoufee and gumbo!

Well I'm from the South so I'd have to say Southern Women. I've been up north once and I missed the cooking here.

Hmm... I like southern food- but so much of it is fried, cooked w/ bacon, covered in gravy, etc... it's not very healthy.

Not sure if this is a fair question- what is "northern" food? Chicago Style pizza? Boston baked beans? Salmon?

I've lived in Seattle most of my life and my cooking can't be beat...

big momma down south cooks the best collard greens because she puts turkey neckbones in and puts the right spices in it. Chicken fried steak, and some cornbread/
