A bit like Email, but quicker, you can communicate almost immediately. If you haven't got it already you need to download some software (look at Yahoo help for details) and read the instructions, I'm a novice at it myself but the more you use it the easier it becomes. Of course if you don't want to communicate with people you don't know then don't bother installing it, if like tonight when you say your bored, then why not share your boredom with a complete stranger. You can get to know people first by clicking on the avatar and Emailing them, then setting up your contact with that person so you can talk whenever you like.

Rebecca.....messenger is for talking to people when you don't want to ever talk to them in real life or on the phone, or like at work when you don't want your boss to know that u r talking to someone. But messenger is just for chatting, nothing else.

I only use MSN Messenger to chat with friends but i do not open it too much, is kinda waste of time...

its used to instant message ppl like your friends or if you wanna meet some new people...basically like talking on the phone but on the computer
