In order to win at something you have to beat someone or something, so there has to be a loser. Just like how there is an opposite to good and evil - there always must be an opposite.

so to balance winners & loosers

but they are not always equal in ratio

BUT

who decides who won & who lost

the winner lost something ( yes ) even if they win

The looser wins something ( YES !! ) but the judge is unaware
