It's gomen nasai but the a somewhat sounds similar to e so I guess it's easy to mix the pronunciation up.

If you just learn the Hirigana and Katakana and maybe some Kanji, everything becomes easier. Romanji is soooo stupid. I dont speak Japanese but I speak Korean and Chinese and with Korean it is just so much easier just to write the Hangul instead of the romanization.
