I think that the housewife you described is getting no help from her spouse.
If her spouse helped her, you would most likely see a big change in her attitude.

Apart from the baby (weight gain for reasons of illness) yes I still do. I'm finding the fact that my sex life is over at 33 the most difficult bit though.
