When I coached my goalies, I would try to find drills to improve his reflexes. Have a shooter stand on the 18 yard box first, turn around so you are not looking at him, as he kicks the ball, have him say something. Instantly turn around and try to stop it. It is near impossible, but it helps to pick up the ball and make quick reactions. If you can master it from the 18, have him move in and take real penalty kicks. Good luck.

Two ways of taking shots - pick a spot and shoot there or approach the ball and watch the keeper, then go the other way. A lot depends on the shooter's quality. Best pk stopping keeper i ever saw measured the goal box before each match and placed a mark dead center - used a penny cause it looks like dirt. He'd position himself slightly off-center giving more space to the more natural shooting side of the strikers foot (such as striker's left for a righty). He'd make his spot look like a slight centering error on his part. Just prior to the strike, he'd dive to the side he'd made space for. Only shots that'd get by are the ones fully wide. he stopped quite a few in Men's Open division.

Doubt this would work well though beyond good weekend warriors.

Do not move until last moment, most shoots go to the center,
look deep into the eyes of the kicker,

Dont't worry, most penalties are supossed to be goals.

most players kick to the same side as the foot they use to kick try this and you will possibly save 8 out of 10 shoots

man, never look in the shooter's eyes,he would confuse ya.
however,try to feel him......if u understand me.
remember to choose a side to jump at,try to focus and never listen to yells.
ps:it is not a shame u can't save a penalty.\
