Yea...I can see someday doing that with some friends and family. It sounds like a relaxing trip. I'll proceed to fall asleep in a hammock for a week.

On Line, book your tour from a location of your choice in EUROPE, Fly to EUROPE a few days before the tour and start the tour from ship in Europe. Do it alone if you are not married!
If hotel prices are an issue, stay in Youth-hostels.

No, go on a cruise. Everything but alcohol is included for the price and you'll have a better time. If you don't like kids, go when they are in school.
