I hear Oregon, specifically Portland, is one of the best states to live in. They are enviromentanlly friendly, good public transportation, good food, etc.

I would say Louisiana. I'm from Louisiana and have lived here all my life. We have so much history and so many beautiful places to visit. We have so many cultural events and a lot of events in general. I love Louisiana because of all this and the beautiful homes, and the trees covered in Spanish Moss dot all over the state so please consider, if you can, Louisiana for a travel destination. Also in the Fall where i live we have what is called The Great Mississippi River Balloon Race. It is so great to see the hot air balloons and all the people from not only Louisiana and Mississippi but all over the US and some other countries. You would love to travel here and live here. The weather is also great yea some times it gets a little to hot in the summer but we have very mild winters. I can wear shorts a tee shirt and flip flops most of the winter, depending on how cold it get at night.

New York....mountains more beautiful than Europe, the City...center of the Arts, Invention, Commerce, Theater, Music, Every language in the world is spoken...every country in the world is represented in the general population.....FOOD....the best on the planet....etc., etc.
If someone has made something...you can find it in New York. From Lake George to Scarsdale to the harbors, the architecture, Ellis Island where many immigrants passed through, to the Statute of Liberty to the actual high you feel walking...tons of walking...the streets...the best energy level there is. And the weather is great! But, the people are the best...it is the melting pot but in the very best from everyone.

TEXAS!!!!!!!(lol, if u don't mind the heat) there is so much 2 do and see in cities like Austin ,Houston, Dallas-Ft.Worth. texas is big enough that there r things u don't know about and can explore new places within ur own state, which is nice. Also, Texas is a great state 2 live in if u like college football, plenty of sports teams to root for, and a thriving economy. And people are soooo friendly here, unlike other states w/ large metropolitan areas. its a perfect mix; small-town friendliness seamlessly blended in w/ big city life. And OMG, the mexican food down here is unbelievable!!!!! U haven't had Mexican food till you've had it in Texas!

California was too expensive. Nebraska is too boring. I would say the best US state to live in would be somewhere like Illionois, Ohio or maybe Indiana. You're not really in a classification (midwest, east, southwest, etc.). You're not in boringville, and it's very affordable. All of those states are filled with plenty of things to do and have beautiful scenery.

the terrific state to stay in is West Virginia in case you circulate away out the crooked politics. Now with politics thrown in, i might ought to declare western North Carolina around Boone/Blowing Rock/Banner Elk is a much greater valuable determination.

I really enjoy Florida. I was born here and it is home to me. There are too many people moving here though, so I'm reluctant to tell anyone about it. If it keeps up, I am considering moving to Georgia or Alabama just to get away from the crowds.
Dang, I just told... lol.
